Tua at J.J - ever the fashion model :-)
I took this photo at Chatuchak, just to show the huge posters that are now all over the market, highlighting interesting places to go in Thailand (they're above everyone's heads).
I still had money to spend from my Christmas money from my parents and, if you know me, you know it was burning a hole in my pocket. So, on Saturday, I went with my friend Tua to Chatuchak market (J.J). We laughed afterwards that we could spend 6 hours shopping there and not realize we'd been there so long. But shopping, eating lunch, having snacks, having coffee, talking - all take a lot of time.
It was a productive afternoon though and unbelievable for what I managed to buy for $40:
2 pairs of silver earrings.
4 pairs of costume-jewelry earrings.
2 embroidered skirts.
2 shawls.
2 scarves.
2 pairs of slippers.
1 pair of shoes.
1 hat.
1 pottery hook for the back of my bathroom door.
17 items for $40. Now try doing that in the US :-)

Well done! I guess the only other place you could pull it off MIGHT be a flea market - but then the stuff wouldn't necessarily be new or cute for that matter. Show us some pics of your new things. :)
